Breeze Festival 2009
with John Smeaton Community High School

Ascendance Rep undertook a three day residency with a group of young people from years 7,8 and 9 to create a piece based on heritage for the Breeze Festival, Leeds. This was performed at The Carriageworks Theatre on Saturday 27th June 2009 and the group did exceptionally well. We are now planning to set up a youth dance group at the school and are looking forward to building a partnership there.

Inner Spaces 2008

Integrating over 150 young people from around Yorkshire, Inner Spaces gave all involved the opportunity to further understand their local churches; the historical significance and architectural beauty of the buildings and how they shape their community and heritage.
