Rachel Wesson

Rachel trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and graduated in 1996. She then began her career as a dancer; within a year she was setting up her own dance projects across the North. Rachel founded Ascendance in March 1999, with a strong vision to develop audiences and produce new and exciting dance works.

Realising her ambition she has since promoted and directed a wealth of performances in public spaces and traditional venues. Rachel has undertaken 4 UK tours choreographing over 50 educational and professional works.
