Educated
in Belfast and London, Anne-Marie has worked in a variety of arts
management posts and in community development in Ireland (North
and South) and the UK. In 1995, with co-director Piers Jackson,
she created JQA a creative and innovative arts and community consultancy
company. She works within the spheres of strategic and business
planning, voluntary sector training and human resources management,
and is a member of the Institute of Fundraising and a board member
of Terra Nova Productions, a theatre company in Northern Ireland.
Anne-Marie was awarded her doctorate from the School of Arts, City
University, London, in October 2007, for her pioneering research
into Workplace Bullying in the Arts.

Following education
at Bushey (Herts) and Gloucestershire College and Art & Design,
Janet qualified as a town planner and worked for several years as
a planner in local government in Buckinghamshire and Yorkshire.
She then changed course to join West Yorkshire Joint Services to
provide committee administration and to run West Yorkshire Grants,
advising on grants to arts and other third sector organisations
across the county. She also pursued her education gaining a BA Hons
and an MBA with the Open University.
In 2005 she left mainstream local government and now works part-time
as a parish council clerk. She is also a trustee of fit4funding
which provides advice to voluntary groups on funding and management
issues.
She has wide interests in the arts and architecture and likes to
walk, swim and play the occasional game of badminton in her spare
time.
Janet has been a trustee of Ascendance Rep since 2005 and is currently
