Ascendance Rep seeks new directors/trustees.
Ascendance Rep is a Leeds based contemporary
dance company with a reputation for excellence in contemporary
dance performance, site-specific work and education
projects. The company tours across the UK, producing
high quality dance / theatre works from regional, national
and international choreographers.
The company has a strong education programme
currently including dance classes at Cottingley Cornerstone
Centre near Bradford, the Telling Tales arts and heritage
project and My Leeds exploring the diverse community
of Leeds.
The company is presently planning a
residency at Skipton Castle in August 2010, leading
to a UK tour of ten castles in 2011.
We are therefore seeking additional
members for our board of management to help support
the company as it embarks on a crucial next phase of
work. We would also like to hear from those who might
wish to contribute by acting as observers to the board.
We are particularly seeking people with
skills in legal matters, dance, data protection, community
health and cultural diversity. Skilled and committed
individuals who would like to apply to play a key role

Integrating over 150 young people from around Yorkshire,
Inner Spaces gave all involved the opportunity to further
understand their local churches; the historical significance
and architectural beauty of the buildings and how they
shape their community and heritage.
